Let's Start Yoga

Introduction to Yoga for those who’ve never tried

Yoga has grown into a big deal over the last decade and during the pandemic yoga classes became readily available just a click away. For someone who’s never tried practicing yoga before, the wide range of offerings can be really overwhelming.

I hear you.

You may want to give yoga a try, especially after hearing your friend talking about her good experience, but you have no idea where to start, what style to choose, even what to wear. I don’t even mention arguments like “I’m not flexible enough” or “I don’t have a yoga body”. Social media have distorted the picture we have of yoga as a fashionable sport only for fit able-bodied youngsters and this can be intimidating.

I’ve been on the yoga journey for a while now, as a student, a practitioner and as a teacher, and

I have good news for you!

It’s all lot simpler. You need to be neither flexible nor acrobatic or of certain physical shape to start practicing Yoga. You can come as you are and wear whatever comfortable clothes you have in your closet.

Wait.

Come where?

If you’d like to discover yoga and take first steps towards understanding what yoga really is and how to practice in a safe and sustainable way that works for YOUR body, I invite you to Let’s start yoga workshop.

We will:

  • discuss what yoga is and what it isn’t

  • discover yoga props and how to use them to personalize your yoga practice (whether you practice in a studio or alone)

  • explore essential yoga poses (asanas) and learn how to do them safely and enjoy their benefits

  • experience the power of breathwork (pranayama) and explore the art of correct breathing

  • create a safe space to ask questions, share concerns and views about yoga so you can be comfortable on the yoga mat and in your body in your future practice.
